Lake Aircraft Radio Kontrol Squadron (LARKS), is a RC Club with a group of modelers dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of all things related to the Radio Control Aircraft Hobby!
LARKS is a an AMA Chartered Club (#1721) and is located within the Central Florida Area in Tavares Florida. The club has received status as a FRIA Flying Site, (FAA Registered Identification Area).
We have seasoned and new members, who enjoy all aspects of the hobby. The members are all willing to share their knowledge. New members are always welcome. Visit our membership page for more details.
The current flying site location has been provided by the Parks & Recreation Department of Lake County and the Astatula Landfill. The Club Field is located on the southern end of the Astatula Landfill and boasts a 45′ X 500′ Geotextile Fabric runway that runs east-west with pilots facing north when flying. A permanent shelter with fans and shade is provided for gatherings, coffee breaks, and rest area. Within the shelter we provide a modern charging station complete with 12 and 24 VDC and 120 AC power outlets.
